Currency Conversions
Justice and Valor won’t be converted in Patch 5.4, but with the PvP Season turnover, you can expect your Conquest to be converted to Honor as usual.
Please be aware that the conversion cost of Justice to Honor is going up, and it will cost 500 Justice to purchase 250 Honor.
Where’s the New Valor Gear?
There won’t be a new Valor Quartermaster come 5.4. Instead, we invite those of you intent on gearing up quickly to face Patch 5.4’s challenges to visit the new Timeless Isle. You can get a taste of what’s to come by reading Bashiok’s Timeless Isle preview.
The Ethereals who offer Item Upgrades are sticking around, so you’ll still be able to spend your Valor on upgrading your existing gear.
Fishing
With the destruction in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, Jewel Danios have been airlifted to their new habitat on the Timeless Isle... where you can fish them up!
All permanent item enhancements provided by Enchanting, Engineering, Leatherworking, Tailoring, and various vendors and quests are now able to be applied to items of any level. This means all enchantments can now be applied to heirloom items.
High level enhancements applied to items equipped by low level players have their power scaled down to be similar to enhancements intended for that level range.
Low level enhancements applied to items equipped by high level players do not grow further in power beyond their intended level range.
Drinking a duplicate flask with less than 15 minutes remaining will now extend the duration of the new flask by that amount.
Kriegsemblem/Warforged Seal
This new tier 16 version can be obtained by doing the weekly quest Warforged Seals offered by the same NPCs as for the previous currencies ( Elder Lin for the Alliance, Elder Liao for the Horde.) You can exchange 50x Lesser Charm of Good Fortune for 3 Warforged Seal once per week, for a total of 10 seals.
Important note: If you still have the weekly quest in your quest log from the last week when the patch goes live, do not just run to the NPC to hand-in! You'll still get Mogu Runes instead of Warforged Seals because the quest remained the old version. Make sure to delete the old quest first and pick up the new version from the NPC before you hand in your precious Lesser Charms.
The old Mogu Rune of Fate now has a cap of 20. You can buy them from Mistweaver Ai for 2500x Timeless Coin per piece.
The Lesser Charm of Good Fortune droprate has been received some buff and now there's a good chance to drop from any mobs around Pandaria, including the new Timeless Isle as well as from Durotar and Northern Barrens mobs involving Battlefield: Barrens (Barrens event will end on patch 5.4 launch) and you still can receive them as a reward of MoP daily quests awell. Alternatively, you can buy them for real money from the Blizzard Store through the new Blizzard Store in-game feature introduced in patch 5.4
Wrathion's Legendary Questline
All bosses in Throne of Thunder now have a chance to drop Sigil of Power or Sigil of Wisdom in addition to their normal loot for players on the appropriate step in the legendary questline. Players should also no longer be receiving excess Sigils of Power or Sigils of Wisdom.
The first eight bosses in Siege of Orgrimmar have a chance to drop a Sigil of Power, Sigil of Wisdom, Secrets of the Empire, or Titan Runestone in addition to their normal loot for players on the appropriate step in the legendary questline.
Cooking
A number of new cooking recipes have been added, including new foods that give +300 to a primary stat and noodle carts. Some of these new recipes can be learned from drops in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, others from quests.
Players who have learned the first recipe in each of “the ways” can discover a questline that starts on the Timeless Isle: “Noodle Secrets Long Forgotten.” Heroes will search for a long-lost pandaren recipe allowing them to build and run their own noodle cart. The all-new questline will revisit some old zones and dungeons, culminating in a solo scenario with a unique time-management mini-game.
The noodle cart allows a player to set themselves up as a vendor and distribute powerful noodle soups to their faction.
So we brought up your guys' feedback to the designers about this just a bit ago, everyone agrees Mogu Runes of Fate are too expensive, and we'll be adjusting the cost in an upcoming hotfix that should probably go out today or tomorrow.
